Nintendo 3DS Launch Line Up Revealed

Pilotwings Resort LogoWith a month to go before release Nintendo has finally confirmed the North American launch line up for the 3DS. The first party games are what was expected with Pilotwings Resort, Steel Diver, and the 3 versions of Nintendogs + Cats all making the day one launch.

Now as for third party games the list is everything that’s really been promoted up to now with one glaring omission…

Capcom:
Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition

EA:
The Sims 3
Madden NFL Football

Konami:
Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 3D

LucasArts:
LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars

Namco:
Ridge Racer 3D

Sega:
Super Monkey Ball 3D

Square Enix:
Bust-A-Move Universe

Koei:
Samurai Warriors: Chronicles

Ubisoft:
Asphalt 3D
Combat of Giants: Dinosaurs 3D
Rayman 3D
Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Shadow Wars

The biggest surprise of the list is Dead Or Alive Dimensions not being on it, looks like either they didn’t want to go head to head with SSFIV or they realized they need to add a few more features to match SSFIV.

Beyond the launch day line-up Nintendo also made some promises about what will be coming later this year from them including The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, Star Fox 64 3D, Kid Icarus: Uprising and in the strangest part of this announcement Nintendo promises new installments in the Mario Kart series for this year. Worded to strangely to be a typo, either they’re going the Nintendogs route with multiple versions of the same game, or we can look forward to some new spin off for Mario Kart before the year is out.

The standard MSRP for all games is also confirmed to be $39.99, though I’d expect that to come down quickly for some of the less in demand games.
